terms of service
who you are agreeing with
These terms are an agreement between you and the founder of klozt, an individual based in India who makes and operates the app, not a company ("klozt", "we", "us"). We will add the operator's full legal name and postal address here before klozt is released publicly on the app stores. By creating an account or using the klozt app you accept them. If you do not agree, do not use klozt.
who can use klozt
- you must be 18 or older
- you must not be on a sanctions list that India, the EU, the UK, or the US enforces
- you must not have been previously banned from klozt for breaking these terms
We check your age from the date of birth you give at sign-up and refuse the account if you are under 18.
your account
You are responsible for keeping your email, password, and Google or Apple sign-in secure. Tell us at support@klozt.in straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
You may have one account. Give us an accurate date of birth. Do not create accounts for other people.
what klozt does
klozt is a digital closet and outfit-suggestion service. You photograph clothes you own; klozt tags each photo with a garment type and colour, lets you add occasion, season, and weather tags, and suggests an outfit each day from what you own, taking the local weather and what you wore recently into account.
klozt is an information service. Suggestions are suggestions: wear what you like. We are not a retailer, we do not sell clothes, and we do not connect you to sellers.
Weather comes from a third-party service and may be wrong or unavailable. AI-generated tags are guesses and may be wrong; you can correct any tag at any time, and the suggestion engine uses whatever tags are on the item.
what you can and cannot upload
You may upload photos of clothes you own.
You may not upload:
- photos of other people without their consent
- photos of anyone under 18
- nudity, sexually explicit content, or content showing sexual acts
- content that promotes violence, hate, or self-harm
- content that infringes anyone's intellectual property
- anything containing malware
You keep ownership of what you upload. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, store, resize, and process your uploads only for the purposes described in our privacy policy, including sending a photo to an AI vision service to tag it. The licence ends when you delete the item or your account.
We may remove content that breaks these rules and may suspend accounts that upload it.
paid features
Today every feature of klozt is free. We plan to offer an optional paid tier, klozt+, in future. If we do:
- it will be purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play, under their payment terms
- subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them in your App Store or Google Play account settings; cancelling stops the next renewal and does not refund the current period
- refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies, plus any non-waivable rights under your local consumer-protection law
- the features that are free when you sign up will not be taken away from your existing closet
We will update these terms and tell you in the app before charging anyone anything.
things you cannot do
- attempt to identify or contact other users from anything you see in klozt
- scrape, reverse-engineer, or systematically extract klozt content or code
- use klozt to harass, defame, or harm anyone
- use klozt to break the law in any jurisdiction
- attempt to bypass rate limits, feature gates, or security measures
- impersonate anyone, including klozt staff
- resell or commercially exploit the service
intellectual property
klozt, the klozt wordmark, the app, and its design are ours. Do not use them without permission. Your photos remain yours, as described above.
suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you have broken these terms, if a regulator or court requires it, or if we stop offering klozt. Where the law allows, we will give you reasonable notice and a chance to export your data first.
You can close your account at any time from Profile → Privacy Center. Deletion follows the 14-day grace period described in the privacy policy.
warranties
We provide klozt "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, except those that cannot be disclaimed under your local consumer-protection law.
We do not promise that outfit suggestions will suit your taste, that AI tags will be correct, that weather will be accurate, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We use free-tier infrastructure during our beta and the service may be slow or unavailable at times.
limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to klozt is capped at the greater of (a) the amount you paid klozt in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) ₹10,000 (or its equivalent in your currency).
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost data or reputational harm.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, such as fraud, gross negligence, or non-waivable consumer rights.
indemnity
If content you upload or something you do on klozt causes a third party to bring a claim against us, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with that claim, except to the extent it results from our own breach of these terms.
governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
- users in India — disputes will be resolved by the competent courts in India (we will name the city before public release), except where you have a non-waivable right to bring proceedings in the consumer forum local to you
- users in the EU / UK — you may bring claims in the courts of the country you live in; nothing here overrides your rights under EU or UK consumer-protection law
- users in the United States — disputes will be resolved by binding individual arbitration, unless you opt out by emailing legal@klozt.in within 30 days of accepting these terms, or your local law forbids mandatory arbitration
Indian law (the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules under it) requires us to name a Grievance Officer; their details are in the privacy policy.
changes to these terms
When we change these terms in a way that matters, we will bump the version at the top, show you a notice the next time you open the app, and ask you to review what changed before continuing. If you do not agree, you can close your account from Profile → Privacy Center.
